Delft University of Technology: Africa weather station’s competition

The Trans-African Hydro-Metrological Observatory (TAHMO) of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands launches weather stations competitions in Africa. The TAHMO initiative aims to design, build and operate 20,000 measurement stations in Africa.

The TAHMO initiative aims to design, build and operate 20,000 measurement stations in Africa. From a technical point of view, this is possible by making use of mass-produced consumer electronics and the extensive mobile phone coverage through most of Africa.

Ghana : Saturday July 13th in Accra at the Kofi Annan Centre AITI from 10.30 am to 4.30pm.

Sénégal : Monday 15th at the Ndiambour Hotel from 4pm to 8pm

The idea : The idea is to have tech entrepreneurs in a room brainstorming on creating a Business Model around weather stations around Africa , the best idea with a Solid Business Models wins a Prize of 5000 Euros to develop idea further.
Entrepreneurs will brainstorm on ideas around price, data and business model.
