Majala Mlagui - Africa Gathering Operations, Kenya

Majala is a management consultant specialising in project management, business process analysis and financial system implementations. She has worked with a number of blue chip companies within the financial services industry including Aviva and Standard Life.  Currently on assignment with Thomson Reuters in London.

Born, raised and educated in East Africa (Kenya and Uganda), Majala came to the UK to pursue her studies in Software Engineering at University of Sheffield. She was initially exposed to software development and technology by her mother who was an MS DOS programmer in the 80s.

Having been greatly influenced by a compassionate, innovative and entrepreneurial parent, Majala is hugely passionate about web technology, music, farming and good soul food. As part of Africa Gathering, she is able to enthusiastically give a voice to the great projects run by amazing Africans and friends of Africa FOR and IN Africa.

Majala is actively working to become part of the “reaspora” movement this year.
